Here she is! After four days the right name finally came to us. Halle Kristine Benincasa. Halle was not even on our list of names, but somehow it crept up and stuck. It is a Norwegian name (a boys name, actually) and Kristine is my mom’s middle name, and my great-grandmother’s name was Kristina. Her name is steeped in family history and ethnic heritage.
She was born on December 14th, 2011 at 11:08 AM at our home in Los Angeles. She was 9 pounds 12 ounces and 21 inches long… a very robust bundle of love! Our labor and delivery was short and sweet, lasting about 6 hours. We will have more pictures and video and hopefully a birth story or two sometime soon!
